Imagine my huge surprise when I got my first and favorite meal there which is “The Cheesy Pork Tenderloin Rolled” to say that I was astonished is an understatement because when I had my first bite, I had this amazing war of flavors inside my mouth that were trying to dominate my taste buds and make me go insane, so once I swallowed it I just sat there at my table savoring the moment and scolding myself for not coming to Cuba earlier.I tried to collect as many recipes as I could to show the hidden treasure in the Cuban cuisine, as well as prove to you that food connects the souls.If you ever had a bad idea or assumption about Cuba and its food, although you didn’t visit it, I strongly advise you to do so- because there are lot of amazing adventures and places waiting for you to see.

The best thing that made me fall in love with the Cuban cuisine is that it is one of the simplest cuisines of all. The recipes are a strange and amazing combination of simple ingredients that forms the some of the most delicious dishes in the world. I hope you get the chance to try some of these amazing recipes and share with me my love for Cuba and delicious food.Cuba is one of the oldest countries in the world- it is situated in America and was discovered by Christopher Columbus in 1492. If you looked for the depths of the Cuban cuisine, you will discover that it is actually a mix of the Cuban cuisine with the Caribbean cuisine as well as the African and Spanish cuisines.Just like many famous cuisines, the Cuban cuisine was limited to certain ingredients until the 1492 when it was first colonized by the Spanish who brought with them the rice, orange, lemon and several other veggies not to mention the Africans also added some techniques and ingredients such as plantain, okra.

These ingredient grew quickly to become one of the most used ingredients in the Cuban cuisine in addition to: garlic, cumin, oregano and onion. Cubans are known of their famous marinade which is called “Mojito”, it consists of orange juice, lemon juice, cumin, oregano, garlic and olive oil- this marinade is widely used in a many Cuban recipes with different types of meats especially the grilled ones.Due to several conflicts and political problems in Cuba, this marvelous country with mind blowing cuisine didn’t get an actual chance to show and prove to the people across the world that the Cuban cuisine deserves to be labeled as one of the best cuisines in the world.

Due to the struggles that Cuba has been through to get people to try the Cuban cuisine and how it actually erased and proved our expectations to be wrong, I think the most appropriate thing to say about it is:“Nothing Worth Having Comes Easy”
